What would you like said about you at your funeral?

When I pass away, hopefully not soon, I would like many things said at my funeral. At my funeral, I would like to be known and talked about how nice I was. I want many stories of me being kind and caring for other people. I want them to think of my name and remember how loving I was. As I am still alive, I try to accomplish that goal so when the day comes, people will have many stories and remember me being a kind person.

On my funeral, which I hope is somewhat sad since I left this world, I would like it mainly to be joyful for the wonderful gift of life I had. I hope someone speaks and brings a little joy by telling the stories about me and my life I have created. I want all the endless stories of my blonde moments, my endless laughs that were for no reason, and all the other laughable and joyous moments in my life. I want people to be smiling and laughing as they are sharing all these stories. I don’t want anyone to forget all the joy I encountered while living.

I hope people also share how successful of a life I’ve had. I desire to have a successful family, job, and life. I want to be remembered for raising a wonderful family. I want people to talk about my successful career and how I have really contributed to our world. I just hope that by the time comes, I would have lived a successful and meaningful life rather than a worthless one.

Lastly, I would want everyone to remember my strong Catholic faith. I want others share how I devoted myself to God, prayer, and going to church. I hope it is known that I never strayed away from the church and had strong faith to the very end. I want to be remembered for raising a Catholic family and taking my kids to church every Sunday. I hope that after all these things are said at my funeral, they will inspire someone to also lead a life of Catholic faith.
