A Bad Habit I Have

A bad habit I may have is procrastinating which leads to no sleep. I tend to have plenty of time throughout the day to get whatever I need done. However I use my time poorly and end up at 10:00 having nothing done and stressing over it. Therefore, I stay up late, get no sleep, and bring my bad attitude and stressing to the next day. These two main habits I have to lead many other bad habits and problems.

As for procrastinating, I could have a whole day to myself and still get nothing done. This is fairly often for me during the weekends, making me stress over the week. I will waste my whole day on sleeping in, sitting on my phone, hanging with friends, or in other words doing things that waste my whole day away. I am a very bad procrastinator that myself and my family both know it. I am known for being the slow one in the family for getting things done. As for trying to fix it, I am trying to get things done faster by leaving myself a list of things to do. However I am always catching my self procrastinating again.

The bad procrastination habit then leads to another bad habit: not enough sleep. I have a horrible sleep schedule and am never getting near enough sleep as I should. With my procrastination, I wait all day and then all of a sudden it is 10:00 p.m. and I have nothing done. Then, I stay up late trying to get as many things done as possible before I am too tired to stand. I may not feel it as much at night but I sure do feel it in the morning. Even if I do or don’t have things to do, I will stay up late and not do them but rather just chill and do absolutely nothing. Or I will stay up reading till late hours of the night. For some reason I just don’t like going to bed until it is the morning when I have to get out of bed. For fixing this habit, well it is a work in progress. I hope to start getting to bed earlier everyday. I could really use the extra sleep. Sleep is not as important to me as it should be.
